GISHWHES

This is the final countdown people. We’ve waited months for this. Saw the deadlines change, saw amazing things come together with the call of a tweet. We’ve come together to partake in this challenge to make and break a world record. 

I want to thank each and every one of you that pressed the follow button for this blog, and those that are joining us for the first time. Buckle up, kiddo. You’re in for one Hell of a ride. 

I don’t have all the answers. I don’t think anyone does. However, we can pull our sources together and help each other. This blog will stay open, unless rules state otherwise I want to do my best to help out everyone that wants to help.

You are going to need research.

The best way to do this, is search the Tumblr tag, and Twitter tag. Usually when something happens, the GISHWHES tag is going to light up like a Christmas tree. Or something. In there, you will find information as to what is going on.

You need to be following the official accounts on Twitter. @missjeanlouis, @mishacollins, and @whatisgishwhes. So please have those notifications on.

As of right now, the one we’re pretty much dealing with, is Miss Jean Louis. She’s feisty, clever, and you don’t want to mess with her. She’s currently giving out the orders, and it is best to follow them. 

You should also follow the amazing Ambrose Rookwood, who runs the Tumblr, Gishwheshean. You may remember that MJL linked us to her blog early on in the game. Ambrose Rookwood is eloquent in her posts and is a wonderful source of information in this game. 

You want to be further in the know, when things happen? (Other than turning on your text notifs for Twitter that is) Then I suggest that you join the LiveJournal comm for GISHWHES and please join as a member so you can see members-only posts. that is currently run by tumblr user, Angel-Kink. If you have an LJ account, sign up for email notifs for new posts, because if you miss out on the Twitter updates, you wont miss out with the LiveJournal posts. 

Last but not least, you should be watching, especially now, the GISHWHES website. We have the timer there for a reason. We are 9 hours and less, before whatever it is that Misha is planning, happens. 

I use Chrome, so, here is a handy tool that I’ve come to love using. It helped me during Pottermore, and helped me see what changed were done when GISHWHES was being super secretive. Page Monitor for Chrome Add-On

Decoding-GISHWHES asks are open to everyone if you do have a question, and I am quite sure that others will be ready to ask any questions as well.

Congrats to all the participants! We have less than 20 hours before GISHWHES launches. Be on your toes everyone!

First off, trust your gut with this. Yesterday, I was feeling a little anxious about GISHWHES and the recent silence that had been happening. Well, that little silent stretch has passed.

We had two new tweets from our lovely MissJeanLouis. 

The First Tweet.

The first tweet tells us that MJL’s masterpiece has been finished. This is of course referring back to the photo challenge. Some photos I saw were doubled, and tripled. Maybe that means something?

i know that my sister’s photo came out twice, and mine didn’t show up. oh well. as long as one of us got in ;)

congrats to all that participated! 

Now, onto more curious matters. I watched the video a few times. And, again, using the equalizer, I was able to hear the phrase that was whispered in the first 11 seconds of the video. This is our confirmation that what we are doing is a international scavenger hunt.

How? Because when using the equalizer, Misha can be heard saying this: 

GISHWHES. international scavenger hunt the world have ever seen.

this is the same phrased overlapped about four times.

okay. big edit. i’ve been working on this post for a good few hours, and the video has changed. instead of the phrase, its just a constant repeat of GISHWHES.

did anyone else catch that? 

i was chatting with a friend on AIM at 6:17pm central when i told them about the “international” part. it is now 11:14pm central US time, and the video has been changed.

EDIT: Okay, so i’m not going crazy. i went back to the browser history, to the video we FIRST saw when MJL tweeted. This was this link: vimeo.com/31061870 this video was deleted at 11:03 pm Oct 27 2011. 

Also, the video for Tiffany http://vimeo.com/30026670 has been taken down. This was actually deleted a few mins after the first tweet that MJL sent out.

At the same time, the GISHWHES website has been updated. We now have “Join us in BREAKING A GUINNESS WORLD RECORD!” The twitter accounts of Misha, gishwhes, and MJL. As well as “Details will be emailed to you!” So keep those inboxes and notifs ON

The Second Tweet

This leads us to a very, very creative website called, sehwhsig.com (gishwhes backwards, the tag line is sehwhsig si tahw) Any Harry Potter fans there that can figure this out ;)  

Also, we are now told that a WINNER will be announced soon. So, does this mean that Tiffany has been saved? Did we do a good job? Hopefully we did. We will be told of the winner in due time. 

Yet all now have skills to play a vital part in the GISHWHES journey…

This is important. Every single one of us has the chance to participate. Everyone has something to contribute and play in this challenge. Take a photo? Do-able. Make a website. Check. Don’t count yourself out yet. 

Keep historys. Keep downloads. Keep notes. Constant vigilance. 

We were told, that under the bright naked moon, the door shall be opened for all in 23 days (now 8 days) … shall you pass?
